A wet start to our holiday - and a bit of a wake-up call!<br>We were hoping for good weather in July, but the waterproofs were on from the very start of our week in Moffat. We also underestimated the hard slog that 'free to roam' can entail - wading through wet bracken and heather is slow and draining work.<br>Having said that, the sense of beauty and isolation were more than adequate compensation.
