A ramble through Wensleydale and Swaledale

Following our successful trial week in the Peak District, next stage of our 'rehabilitation' was an extended point-to-point walk over several days.

After much deliberation we decided to play safe and have our main baggage transferred along the route, and by chance came across a small company based in the Yorkshire Dales - Muddy Boots Walking Holidays - that offered just what we were looking for.

Helen at Muddy Boots took care of everything: booking all hotel accommodation, providing directions for each daily route, and arranging a taxi for our return to the start point.

We had a fantastic time. The accomodation was top-notch, the routes were well researched and very clearly described and to top it all the weather was amazing (if anything, a little too good) with only a short, and light, shower on one of our eight walking days. Neither of us had any problems with the walking, so rehabilitation/recovery is pretty much now complete.
