A week of circular walks

This was our first real physical test since last year's heart attack. Although we had been packing in the miles in the last few months, those were mostly in-and-around Peterborough where there are no hills to speak of. We booked a small-but-cosy cottage in the village of Tideswell in order to get out and really test my fitness on some longer, more challenging walks.

Post-retirement, we are also looking for a suitable place to relocate to, so we took the opportunity to check out all of the local amenities - shops, pubs & restaurants - to assess Tideswell's suitability for a permanent move.

All of the walks were straight from the cottage, proving that the walking possibilities, at least, were very suitable ...
